Adrian "Andy" Ramp, 70, of Mt. Sterling passed away suddenly, Wednesday afternoon, April 13, 2022 at his residence. He was born in Boskoop, South Holland, Netherlands on April 27, 1951 to the late Wim and Jans Goedhart Ramp.
Andy was the oldest of seven children and moved to Canada from the Netherlands in his early twenties, English was his second language. Andy met his wife Jenny in Canada and moved with her to Colorado in 1995, they were married that same year. He claimed it was love at first sight when he met Jenny and he knew immediately that he wanted to marry her. He became a naturalized United States citizen on February 22, 2002 and retired from Precision Mechanical, Inc. as a skilled welder and custom fabricator. He enjoyed; electronics and gadgets, watching sports, especially hockey, studying world history and traveling to area casinos with his beloved wife. Andy was living his grandfather's American Dream. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Andy is survived by his loving wife; Jenny Roberts Ramp of Mt. Sterling; three step-children; Gloria Stephens of Mt. Sterling, Gayle McDonald (Jim) of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada and Barb Stephens (Vern) of Osoyoos, British Columbia, Canada; sister-in-law; Evelyn Shultz of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren; Gina Miller, Joslyn McDonald, Jimmy McDonald, Willie Stephens and Dusty Stephens; five great grandchildren; siblings; Nico Ramp, Wim Ramp, Corrie Van der Zwaard (Cock) , Gerit Wagner (Renate), Bep Baars (Rob) all of the Netherlands and Rijnie Schmidt (Genie) of Germany; numerous nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial has been planned.
