Alberta Lee, 86, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday morning, December 30, 2012 at Windsor Care Center. She was born on September 1, 1926 in Clark County to the late John and Dollie Wingate Lee.
Alberta was a life-long resident of Montgomery County. She was a faithful member of the First Church of God; she was a first grade Sunday school teacher, choir member, a member of Fishers of Men missionary group and she loved the weekly quilting circle. Alberta was previously employed at Cowden Manufacturing and Jockey International, where she was recognized for her work and attendance. After retirement, she started her favorite passion; providing childcare for family and close friends. Alberta's final three years at Windsor Care Center, she especially enjoyed her daily time with her sister Margie, her niece Darlene Ruthenburg, the Lakeview staff, the special singers and visitors.
Survivors include; one brother, Larry Lee (Kay) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Marjorie Birch of Mt. Sterling and Juanita Eades of Moultrie, Georgia; sixteen nephews and nieces; several great and great-great nephews and nieces; one sister-in-law, Betty Lee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Forrest Rogers, John Lee and Alex Lee; one sister, Joyce Richardson.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations towards the Children's Ministry at the First Church of God, 1051 Camargo Road, Mount Sterling, Kentucky 40353.
