Andy Lee Timblin, 81, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, July 11, 2016 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born November 9, 1934 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Paul and Jean Riddle Timblin.
Andy moved to Montgomery County in 1979 from Jenkins, Kentucky. He was a retired minister and pastor at several churches. Andy wrote and had recently published a book about his and his late wife's lives in the ministry, "A Life Worth Living". Andy was a member of The Full Gospel Word of God Church in Jeffersonville and attended the Life Impact Church in Mt. Sterling. While his passion was reading and studying the Bible, Andy also enjoyed playing golf, and watching the Cincinnati Reds. He will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.
Survivors include; four sons, Paul Timothy Timblin of Pearl, Mississippi, Drake Timblin of St. Cloud, Florida, Eric Timblin (Linda) of Greenfield, Indiana, Kevin Timblin (Kathy) of Hendersonville, Tennessee; one daughter, Melanie Timblin Campbell of Mt. Sterling; eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of sixty years, Shirley Sexton Timblin and one sister, Anna Koetz.
Pastor Ike Sams and Pastor Anthony Castle will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Paul Timothy Timblin, Drake Timblin, Eric Timblin, Kevin Timblin, Dustin Timblin, Nick Timblin, and Kyle Timblin.
