Barbara Ann Lawson

May 29, 1952 — December 23, 2024

Mount Sterling, Kentucky

With heavy hearts and immense gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Barbara Ann Lawson, who left this world peacefully on December 23, 2024, at the age of 72. Born on May 29, 1952, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to the late Dailey and Evelyn Easterling, Barbara called Mount Sterling, Kentucky, her home for many years.

A dedicated mother and grandmother, Barbara is survived by her beloved sons, Dana Lawson (Julie), Wayne Lawson (Marcie) and Scott Lawson, seven grandchildren, including three special granddaughters, Jessica Lawson (Nick), Heaven West (Alex) and Tristyn Lawson, a great granddaughter, Leighlyn West and a very special best friend Sonja Bryant. She also leaves behind her faithful furry companions-Punky, Little Bit, Buddy, and Harley-who brought her immense joy and comfort.

Barbara's kindness and love for animals were just a few of the many qualities that defined her. She had insurmountable faith and found great joy, strength and solace in attending church regularly. After a fulfilling career at Office Depot, Barbara found purpose and joy in her role at Goodwill, where she continued to help others.

A celebration of Barbara's remarkable life will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory and share the love she so generously gave.

While we mourn the loss of Barbara, we also celebrate the profound impact she had on our lives. Her spirit lives on in all who were fortunate to know her, and we will carry her memory in our hearts forever.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Dailey and Evelyn Easterling and brother, Harry Easterling.
