Bert Allen Stephens, peacefully passed away on Monday, November 25, 2024, at Baptist Health in Lexington. Born on October 28, 1959, in Mt. Sterling, to the late Louis and Nellie Collins Stephens.

Having spent his career as a meticulous and well-respected employee, Bert had retired from IBM/Lexmark, where he left a lasting impact. However, his passion for golf truly defined him, and he was renowned for his talent on the course, embodying the spirit of the game. A loyal University of Kentucky Wildcats supporter, his enthusiasm for sports was contagious. Those who knew Bert will always remember his remarkable sense of humor.

Bert is survived by his loving spouse, Paula Stephens, as well as his children, Nick Stephens (Heather) and Lacy Stephens, sister, Judy Townsend (Danny Ray). His legacy lives on through his family, who will cherish the memories of his kind spirit and unwavering dedication.

In addition to Bert's parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Stephens.

Reflecting on a life well-lived, a Funeral Service honoring Bert Allen Stephens will be held at the First Church of God in Mt. Sterling, on December 2, 2024, at 12:00 pm. Prior to the service, friends and family are invited to pay their respects and share memories during the Visitation, commencing at 10:00 am on the same day. Pastor David Dooley will be officiating.
