Betty L. Adams Gayhart, 85, died July 14, 2019 in Winchester, KY.
Betty Larue Adams was born November 16, 1933. She was in the class of 1951 in Wurtland, KY. Betty may best be remembered as the proprietor of Betty’s Diner. She served a generation of school children in Raceland, KY; a hot dog or bowl of chili, a juke box and a friendly hug when they needed it! Retired as Office Manager at Woodsmoke Camping Resort, Ft. Myers, Florida.
The daughter of the late Nola Whitt Adams and Archie Columbus Adams. She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Romie Gayhart (RIP 2013), two brothers, Ishmael and Elwood Adams, five sisters, Charlotte Holt, Dorothy A. French, Eva Gay Nicely, Jeanette Barker, and Shirley Ann Crawford Yates.
Survived by; brother Terry Scott Adams. Three children, Terry Lynn Gayhart (Aniko), Don Vernon Gayhart (Debbie), and Noleeka Gayhart DuJardin (Craig RIP). Four grandchildren, Thor Vincent DuJardin (Ashley), Romeeka Rhae Gayhart (Max), Sarah Dawn Gayhart Guerrero (Andrew), and Dylan Gayhart. Three great granddaughters, Coraline Romie DuJardin, Persephone Elise DuJardin, and Cadence Brandenburg Farmer.
