Betty Jane Swinford Williamson, 84, of Mt. Sterling, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday evening, March 6, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on December 14, 1937 in Disputanta, Kentucky to the late Ruben Hugh and Ablerta Legear Swinford.
Betty has been a resident of Montgomery County for nine years following her move from Lexington. She was of the Baptist faith, a member of Southern Heights Baptist Church, Lexington and attended First Baptist Church, Mt. Sterling. She was a former retail associate with McAlpins Department Store. She enjoyed watching and feeding birds, flowers and flower gardening . She loved the time she spent with her grandchildren and was involved in all of their activities. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-three years and her high school sweetheart; Jimmy Williamson of Mt. Sterling; her adored children; Greg Williamson (Dana) of Mt. Sterling and Kelli Williamson Wise (Bruce) of Mt. Sterling; six grandchildren; Calvin Williamson of Dayton, Ohio, Ben Williamson of Lexington, Will Wise (Rachael) of Lexington, Hannah Williamson of Charlotte, North Carolina, Jane Frye (Clark) of Lexington and Paul Wise of Mt. Sterling; brother-in-law; Sam Beasley of Xenia, Ohio.
In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her son; Joe David Williamson and her sister; Ann Beasley.
