Billy Perry Jackson

Billy Perry Jackson, 89, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2021 surrounded by his family at Saint Joseph, Mt. Sterling.  He was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on April 5, 1932 to the late Les and Ruby McIlvain Jackson.

Billy was a native of Montgomery County, of the Christian faith and a member of First Church of God.  He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the Korean War.  Billy was a lifelong farmer and he enjoyed gardening both vegetables and flowers, collecting John Deere memorabilia, watching westerns and spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Billy is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years; Gaynell Rudder Jackson; one son; Billy Bradley Jackson of Stanton; one daughter; Ann Jackson Moore (Jim) of Mt. Sterling; one brother; Darvin Jackson (Linda) of Mt. Sterling; one sister; Linda Jackson (Jim Costigan) of Mt. Sterling; two nephews; Adam Jackson (Malia) of Lexington and Gerald Hovermale of Lexington; two nieces; Amy Jackson Willoughby (James) of Mt. Sterling and Danna Hovermale of Lexington; one great nephew; four great nieces and two grand dogs; Jake and Benji.

In addition to his parents, Billy was preceded in death by his sister Louise Hovermale.
