Bobby Davis, 73, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington. He was born August 24, 1947 in Knott County, Kentucky to the late Carter Davis and Lily Hicks Inman.
Bobby was a life-long resident of Montgomery County, he was of the Christian faith and was a Army combat airborne veteran in the Vietnam War and a member of the VFW. After his years of service, Bobby was a carpenter and managed a couple of IGA grocery stores. He had a jokester personality and enjoyed; yard work, flower and vegetable gardening, various sports, Nascar and was a faithful giver to the St. Jude Children's Hospital. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Bobby is survived by his beloved wife of fifty years, Lettie Ison Davis of Mt. Sterling; one son, Justin Davis of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Denise Pride of Mt. Sterling; one grandchild, Jarhett Quinn Davis of Mt. Sterling; one brother, John Inman (JoAnn) of Greenwood, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his son, Shane Davis; two brothers, Billy Davis (his twin) and Eugene Inman and two sisters, Rose Combs and Betty Sue Prater.
