Bobby Ray Vice, 70, of Mt. Sterling, died Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born May 2, 1942 in Bath County to the late Cliff Vice, Sr. and Minnie Vice.
Bobby was a Bath County native and a United States Vietnam Army Veteran. He was a 1960 graduate of Montgomery County High School. He was formerly employed at IBM and Bob's Food Service. He lived in Florida for 15 years where he worked in Food Service Distribution before moving back to Mt. Sterling 10 years ago. He enjoyed golf, carpentry, UK basketball, spending time with family and being a grandfather.
Survivors include; one son, John Vice (Denise) of Mt. Sterling; one granddaughter, Emily Vice of Mt. Sterling; four brothers, Brooks Vice (Wilma) of Bath County, Cliff Vice, Jr of Carlisle, Chuck Vice (Charlene) of Mt. Sterling, and James Vice of Nicholasville; three sisters, Mary E. Wolfe of Cincinnati, Ohio, Thelma Hawkins of Jeffersonville, and Helen Shigley (Bob) of Wilmington, Ohio; One granddaughter; and 22 nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold and Virgil Vice.
Funeral will be Friday, July 20, 2012 at 10:00AM at the Somerset Christian Church. Visitation will be Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Somerset Christian Church. Burial will follow the funeral at Longview Cemetery in Bath County. Pastor Bill Evans will be officiating.
Pallbearers are Kevin Wolfe, Steve Vice, Mark Vice, Owen Vice, David Vice, and Aaron Cody Vice.
