Brenda Sue Hughes Lee, 74, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday, October 20, 2019 at her residence surrounded by family. She was born in Perry County on February 14, 1945 to the late Mann and Sitha Smith Hughes.
Brenda was a Mt. Sterling native and a member of Camargo Church of Christ. She was a homemaker, licensed cosmetologist and enjoyed singing and playing the piano. Brenda will be missed dearly by her family, friends and classmates.
She is survived by two sons; Dean Lee (Ann) of Mt. Juliet, TN and Dwayne Lee (Shannon Ingram Chaney) of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Sherri Lee Smoot Laudermilt (Eddie) of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Richard Hughes (Linda) of Lexington and Billy Hughes (Judy) of Sharpsburg, four sisters, Faye Greco (Johnny) of Louisville, Gayle Stone of Mt. Sterling, Maxine Vice (Arnold) of Winchester and Bessie Jean Holley (Phil) of Mt. Sterling; five grandchildren, Brandon Lee of Mt. Sterling, Asia Lee Peach (Michael) and Autumn Lee both of Versailles, Haylee Smoot and Holly Ann Smoot both of Lexington; two great grandchildren, Ella Peach and Brady Peach both of Versailles and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-one years Larry Ronald Lee; four brothers, Darrell Hughes, Don Hughes, Eddie Hughes and James Robert Hughes and three sisters, Emmalene Napier, Charlene Carroll and Joyce Grigsby and a special brother-in-law, Lyle Stone.
Funeral will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at 11:00AM. Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 6:00PM-8:00PM, both will be at Rolling Hills Church of Christ. Brother Randy Imel will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Eddie Laudermilt, Aaron Imel, Jeff Stone, Greg Stone, Michael Peach and Brian Holley.
Honorary Pallbearer: Phil Holley, Richard Wells, Arnold Vice, Virginia Hughes, Johnny Greco, Ralph Grigsby, Barbara Gatewood.
