Brenda Kay Reeves, 65, of Mt. Sterling, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on July 30, 1959, in Portland, Indiana, to the late Claude Sampley and Dorothy Ferguson.

A woman of deep faith, Brenda exemplified grace and kindness in her everyday life. With a personality that was laid-back, humorous, and easy-going, she had a heart of gold that always put the needs of others before her own. Brenda's laughter and warmth will be sorely missed by those she touched with her generosity and care.

Brenda found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid enthusiast of arts and crafts, often channeling her creativity into unique projects. Puzzles delighted her, providing countless hours of entertainment. As autumn approached, Brenda took delight in taking long walks, wrapped in her favorite sweaters, savoring the crisp air and vibrant colors that the season brought. A lover of nature, she found solace in the company of hummingbirds, drawn to their grace and beauty. Blue was her favorite color, a reflection of her calming presence.

Brenda is survived by her children, Kayla Estes (Jonathan), Justin Sampley, Shannon Fisher (Matthew), and Travis Hodgson (Melinda); grandchildren, Skylar Ballard, Jadyn Sampley, Leiam Sampley, Haily Estes, and Alexander Estes; great grandchild, Millie Sampley; siblings, Eddie Sampley, Sindy Moore (Joe), Corwin Sampley, John Sampley, and Lora Baumgartner; life-long friend, Steve Reeves.

In addition to her parents, Brenda is preceded in death by her siblings, Debbie Jones and Robbie Sampley.
