Carla Sue Owens

Carla Sue Owens, 68, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at her residence in Mt .Sterling. She was born December 25, 1946 in Perry County to the late Lauza "L.H." and Susie Owens Hurt.
Carla graduated from high school in West Liberty when she was only 16. She then continued her education at Morehead State University where she got her master's degree in Business Education and also a bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Although she was a teacher for many years, her passion was working in the transportation industry. Carla drove a truck and worked dispatch for CPR Express after her teaching career. When Carla wasn't working she was most likely playing golf. She was a very big sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing and watching sports.
Survivors include; her two sons, Matthew Demaris of Mt. Sterling and Charles Demaris (Carren) of Cincinnati, OH; her brother, Bert Owens of Arizona; one grandchild, Kirsten Demaris of Mt. Sterling.
