Charlene Bowman Wells

February 17, 1950 — July 28, 2013

Charlene Wells, 63, wife of Kevan Barry Wells, died Sunday, July 28, 2013 at her residence. She was born February 17, 1950 in Wolfe County to Mildred Lykins Bowman and the late Everett Earl Bowman.

After graduating Menifee County High School, Charlene attended Midway College and later went on to earn her master's degree in education at Morehead State University. She lived most of her life in Frenchburg where she taught elementary education in the Menifee County School System for several years. She was the caregiver of Tony D. Bowman, Tammy Martin, Tammy Blevins, and Tony L. Bowman. She was of the Protestant faith; she enjoyed reading her Bible, crafts, sewing, quilting and spending time with her family by whom she will be dearly missed.

Survivors include; her loving husband of 42 years, Kevan Wells of Mt. Sterling; her mother, Mildred Bowman of Wolfe County; six brothers, Randall Earl Bowman (Nancy), Owen Bowman (Mary), Benny Paul Bowman (Debbie), Norman Bowman (Gail), Tom Bowman, and Tony Darrell Bowman (Cindy) all of Menifee County; four sisters, Sharon Crain (David) of Menifee County, Shirley Sexton (Tom) of Morgan County, Louise Helton (JC) of Campton, and Tammy Martin (Greg) of Mt. Sterling; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Burl Dean Bowman and Donald Bowman; a sister, Carolyn Sue Bowman.

Pallbearers: Randall Bowman, Owen Bowman, Benny Bowman, Tom Bowman, Tony D. Bowman, and Tony L. Bowman.
