Charles Sanford Jouett

September 7, 1942 — May 24, 2012

Charles Sanford Jouett, 69, of Mt. Sterling, died Thursday evening at his residence. He was born September 7, 1942 in Mt. Sterling to Sammy and Sarah Jouett.

Charles was a Montgomery County native, a United States Army Veteran and he retired after twenty years from Wal-Mart. Charles has been a member since the age of nine and later an elder at High Street Christian Church; he served in the male choir, Christian Male Fellowship and was the treasurer. Charles also enjoyed fishing, football and his family and friends.

Survivors include; his wife of fifty-one years, Daisy Jouett of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Charles Jouett (Marsha) of Winchester and Adarine Jouett (Carrissa) of Lexington; his mother, Sarah Jouett of Mason, Ohio; one brother, Norman Jouett of Fairborn, Ohio; four sisters, Peggy Moore (George) of Mason, Ohio, Phyllis Stevenson of Troutwood, Ohio, Sandra Ferguson of Cincinnati, Ohio and Pamela Hocker (Bobby) of Mt. Sterling; six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Sammy Jouett.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 29, 2012 at 1:00PM. Visitation will also be on Tuesday, May 29, 2012 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM, services will be at the High Street Christian Church. Burial will follow the funeral at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Darrell Hayden will be officiating.

Pallbearers will include; Norman Cunningham, Aundrey Oldham, Robert Johnson, Ronald Owens, Thomas Fletcher, Jr., Gary Chenault and David Taul, George Garrett, James Botts.

Honorary Pallbearers will include; Adrian Franklin, Glendale Adams, Thomas Fletcher, Sr., and the Official Board of High Street Christian Church.
