Charles Patrick "Pat" Middendorf, Jr., 56, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday morning, April 24, 2016 at UK Medical Center. He was born January 31, 1960 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Charles Patrick, Sr. and Karen Bean Middendorf.
Pat moved to Kentucky forty-six years ago from Pennsylvania, graduated from Mason County High School in 1978 and attended Eastern Kentucky University, he was of the Catholic faith and was a master electrician for Labor Finders Contractors. He enjoyed the outdoors; boating and camping, listening to music, UK basketball, Nascar racing and horse racing. He had a giving personality, Pat and his father spent time in Mexico on a mission trip where his electrical skills blessed that community. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his parents, Charles Patrick, Sr. and Karen Bean Middendorf of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Mason Middendorf (Brenda) of Winchester; one sister, Terry Rhodes of Mt. Sterling; friend and former wife, Jewell Middendorf, that gave meaning to his life, by making him a father to her three children, Todd Cosby (Heather) of Middlesboro, Kentucky, Sarah Ayers (Doug) and Cameron Evans, both of Pleasureville, Kentucky, also, one more daughter, Kelly Rosson (Ronnie) of Tazewell, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Holden, Olivia, Jerecka, Eli, Jordan and Lily; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews; his friend and former brother-in-law, Dan Rhodes.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Rose Middendorf and Stanley and Olga Green.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Hospice of the Bluegrass, 2312 Alexandria Drive, Lexington, Kentucky 40504.
Pastor Paul Prather and Pastor Francis Nash will be officiating.
