Christine Moore Rothwell

September 30, 1922 — January 14, 2013

Christine Moore Rothwell, 90, of Owingsville, died Monday morning, January 14, 2013 at her residence. She was born on September 30, 1922 to the late Ethel Lyons Stockdale and Buck Moore.

Christine, a Montgomery County native, moved to Owingsville from Mt. Sterling 10 years ago. She retired from Toy's Grocery in 1985 where she worked as a grocery clerk. She enjoyed quilting, baking, reading, and she loved to travel with her sister.

Survivors include; one daughter, Jimmie Gayle Spratt (Mike) of Owingsville; one sister, Carol Chandler (Cramer) of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Paul Horseman (Darnell) of Bluffton, South Carolina, Christopher Horseman of New York City, and P.J. Horseman (Kristy) of Bluffton, South Carolina; four great grandchildren, Natalie Horseman of Illinois, Kevin Horseman, Austin Horseman, and Evan Horseman all of Bluffton, South Carolina; two special friends, Wayne Bruin (Shannon) of Mt. Sterling, and Sarah Johnson of Owingsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Beau Horseman; two brothers, Paul Moore and Pendleton Moore; two sisters, Anna Hon and Ruby Colliver.

Graveside service will be Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 1:00PM at Machpelah Cemetery. Bro. Keen Johnson will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Christine's memory to the Relay for Life of Montgomery County.
