Christopher "Dakota" Stevens

Christopher "Dakota" Stevens, 6, of Jeffersonville, died Tuesday morning at his residence. He was born February 11, 2006 in London, Kentucky.

Dakota has lived in Montgomery County since he was two months old. Dakota was in Kindergarten at Camargo Elementary, he never knew a stranger and always smiled even when he felt bad. Dakota really enjoyed music and going to his church where he was known as the "Little Deacon". Dakota will be missed by his family, church family, friends and his teachers, but his larger than life personality will live forever.

Survivors include; his parents, Tony and Sondra Roland of Jeffersonville; baby brother, Cherokee Roland of Jeffersonville; paternal grandparents, Holly and Agnes Roland of Mt. Sterling; maternal grandparents, Bobby Stevens of McKee and Sandra Stevens (Brian Rudd) of Mt. Sterling; great grandparents, Alvin and Jenny Webb of McKee and Janey Stevens of McKee; three step-sisters; one step-brother; three nephews and one niece; host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dakota was preceded in death by his great grandfather, Bobby Stevens.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Dakota's church in his name; Cornwell Christian Church, 6250 Highway 460 West, Means, Kentucky 40346.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 24th at 11:00AM, Visitation will be Friday, March 23rd from 5:00PM to 8:00PM, and all services will be at the Cornwell Christian Church, 6250 Highway 460 West, Means, Kentucky 40346. Burial will follow the funeral service at the Fortune Cemetery in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Pastor Vonley Haney will be officiating.

Pallbearers are Junior Haney, Jason Hunley, Clayton Watkins, Joe McMillen, Mark Cole and Greg Manning.

Special Honorary Pallbearer is Dakota's baby brother, Cherokee Roland.
