Clayton "Bo" Campbell, 75, of Stanton, died Tuesday afternoon at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester, Kentucky. He was born May 31, 1936 in Bonnyman, Kentucky, to the late Charlie and Eliza Campbell.
Bo moved to Stanton in 1995 from Anchorage, Alaska. Bo was a retired Air force Veteran in 1979 and received his second retirement in 1986 from the Civil Service as an industrial engineer and he was a Wildlife Manager and Guide for the State of Alaska. Bo was a past Master of Lodge 221 in Anchorage, Alaska and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite member. He truly loved the outdoor lifestyle as a hunter, fisherman, and golfer. He took great pride in fly tying and taxidermy. Bo will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his wife of fifty years, Ida Campbell of Stanton, Kentucky; two daughters, Zenita Campbell of Clay City, Kentucky and Rachel Wiggins (Matt) of Anchorage, Alaska; three brothers, Verdie Campbell (Wilma) of Seymour, Indiana, his twin, Clayburn Campbell (Dora Lee) of Seymour, Indiana and App Campbell of Hazard, Kentucky; five sisters, Lucille Parsons (Tommy), Edna May Combs, Glenna Campbell, Pauline Campbell and Darlene Campbell, all of Hazard, Kentucky; three grandchildren, James Dorris of Clay City, Kentucky, Evan Wiggins and Donovan Wiggins of Anchorage, Alaska; step-mother, Rhoda Sellars of Hazard, Kentucky.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Campbell and Jack Campbell and four sisters, Delphia Laslo, Edith Napier, Evelyn Elrod and Martha Faye Honeycutt.
In lieu of flowers; Relay for Life in Hazard, Kentucky, a memoriam will be designated in Bo's name.
