Darrell Eugene Ball, Jr.

Darrell Eugene Ball, Jr., 69, formerly of Wellington, Kentucky passed away Friday, December  30, 2022 at  Good Shepherd Nursing and Rehabilitation, Phelps, Kentucky.  He was born in Welch, West Virginia on August 15, 1953 to the late Darrell Ball, Sr. and Fannie May Casey.

Darrell moved to Wellington from Phelps, Kentucky in 2000, he was of the Baptist faith and retired from General Motors.  He enjoyed, fishing with his brother B.O. Ball, carpentry and boat riding.  He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Darrell is survived by his daughter, Shawntell Ball; two grandsons, Brandon and Noah of Michigan; two sisters, Nancy Ferrell (Kyle) and Linda Skeens (Ronnie), both of Phelps, Kentucky; special niece, Barbara Young (Troy) of Varney, Kentucky; special great niece, Cheyenne Zumbro (Jason) and two great nephews, Tyler and Weston of McConnelsville, Ohio; special nephew, Michael Young of Columbus, Ohio; a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Darrell was preceded in death by his wife, Carmen Stanley Ball; his son, Kevin Eugene Ball; three brothers, Leroy (B.O.) Ball, Billy Ball and Woodrow Ball; three sisters, Mary Ellen Ball, Joann Murray and Betty Jean Kirkpatrick
