David L. Byrd, 59, of Jeffersonville, died, Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at his residence. He was born October 23, 1956 in Menifee County, to Robert Byrd, Sr. and Edna Mae Smith.
Five years ago, David moved from Menifee County to Jeffersonville, he previously worked as a mechanic and a farmer. David enjoyed being outdoors; fishing, hunting and camping. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Corey Byrd (Adrienne) of Clay City; one daughter, Sheronna Byrd (John Straub) of Versailles; four grandchildren, Ava Byrd and Jason Byrd, both of Clay City, Kameron Helton and Gracie Straub, both of Versailles; his mother, Edna Mae Smith of Sudith; two sisters, Bonnie Brashears (Kenneth) and Esther Nickell, both of Frenchurg; two brothers, James Byrd of Bath County and Robert Byrd, Jr. (Sandy).
He was preceded in death by his father Robert Byrd, Sr.; two brothers, Jerry Byrd and Rocky Byrd; one sister, Barbara Fields.
