Deborah "Debbie" Renee Donithan Cole, 53, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2024, will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by her loved ones as they gather to honor her life and legacy. Born to Donnie Donithan and Rosalie Walters in Mount Sterling, Kentucky on January 22, 1971, she dedicated her life to caring for others within the church community where she served as a caregiver.
She proudly graduated from Montgomery County High School in 1989, excelling in her involvement with the FFA and the Land Judging Team.
Debbie's contributions as the Mayor of Sharpsburg demonstrated her commitment to her community, a value she carried throughout her life. She and her devoted husband, Timothy Cole, shared a passion for serving as pastors at Gateway Church of God, where they impacted countless lives with their dedication and faith.
Debbie found solace and strength in her upbringing at Hope First Church of God. Her radiant spirit and unwavering devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew her.
Survivors include her high school sweetheart husband, Tim Cole; children, Eden Brook Cole and Timothy Jacob Cole; grandchildren, Ridley Grace Cole and Tobias James Kilgore; siblings, Stephen Donithan (Ronna), Barry Donithan (Christina), Sam Donithan, Cari Donithan, Chris Williams (Veronica) and Jeff Williams (Elizabeth); daughter by heart, Brooke Parks (Dustin).
Debbie was preceded in death by her stepfather, Frank Williams.
A Celebration of Life Service in honor of Deborah's life will be held at Hope First Church of God on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 7:00 pm, where friends and family will gather to pay their respects. Prior to the service, a Visitation will take place at the same location at 5:00 pm, offering an opportunity for loved ones to share memories and support one another during this difficult time. In accordance with her wishes, Debbie will be cremated following the services.
