Dewey Hutson of Mt. Sterling, a skilled auto mechanic, passed away on October 19, 2024, at the age of 72. Born in Jeffersonville, KY, on August 23, 1952, to the late Utah and Carma Spicer Hutson. Dewey was known for his easy-going nature, infectious laughter, and unwavering faith.
Dewey excelled in his career as an auto mechanic, showcasing his talent and dedication to his craft. In his free time, he found solace in fishing, hunting, and tending to his vegetable garden, demonstrating a deep appreciation for nature and the great outdoors.
Survived by his forever friend, Peggy Rothwell Hutson; son, Dewey Chad Hutson; daughter, Cassie Hutson McCarty; grandson, Jonathan Hutson; brother, Utah Hutson (Ethel), special niece, Beverly Sorrell. Dewey's warm personality and ability to make those around him laugh will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to Dewey's parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, James Hutson, and Brenda Sorrell.
A memorial service to honor Dewey's life will be held at the Coffman Funeral Home & Crematory on Friday, November 1, 2024, at 10:00 am.
