Dorothy Edna (Rix) Vaughan

Dorothy Edna Rix Vaughan, 91, of Mt. Sterling, passed away Sunday morning, August 1, 2021 at Windsor Personal Care.  She was born in Ferndale, Michigan on October 25, 1929 to the late George and Maude Fraser Rix.

Dorothy was a retired legal secretary at White, Peck and Carrington and was a member of the First Baptist Church, Mt. Sterling.  She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Dorothy is survived by her grandchildren; Glenn, Darin, Stevie and Sarah Vaughan.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Leon Vaughan.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00PM on Thursday, August 5, 2021.  Visitation will be held prior from 1:00PM - 2:00PM, both will be held at First Baptist Church, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky.   Pastor Chris Wells will be officiating.  Committal will follow at Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Tim Martin, Tommy Hunt, Kris Mann and Nathan McGinnis, Glenn Vaughan, Darin Vaughan and Stevie Vaughan.

Honorary Pallbearers: Grover Carrington, Andrew Ledford and the Evangeline Sunday School Class.
