Douglas Quentin Burchett, 67, of Owingsville, died at his home on Thursday, July 19, 2018 after a courageous battle with leukemia. He was born April 7, 1951 to the late Quentin Burchett and Mildred Garner Burchett.
Doug was an over the road truck driver for more than 25 years. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed raising dogs and visiting flea markets with his wife, Faye. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; his beloved wife, Ellen Faye Roberts Burchett, his daughter Lisa Flood (Wayne) of Wintergreen, VA, daughter Kimberly Williams of Fayetteville, OH, daughter Amber Burchett of Atlanta, GA, son Andrew Burchett of Atlanta, GA, step-daughter Melissa Begley (Brian) of Evans, GA, step-son Ron Ramey of Evansville, IN, step-son David Ramey (Maggie) of Sharpsburg, KY, brother Gregory Burchett (Kate), of Centerville, OH, seven sisters - Linda Dura (Ted) of Florissant, CO, Karen McCarville of Barnum, WY, Sylvia Brite (Bill) of Casper, WY, Judy Owens (Kenneth) of Roseboro, NC, Kathy Rayburn (Arthur) of Vanceburg, KY, Bonnie Lacy (Todd) of Port Richey, FL, Nancy Young (Dan) of Mt. Orab, OH, nine grandchildren – Cameron Flood, Carter Williams, Brandon Ramey, Daydra Ramey, Destiny Ramey, Whitney Ramey, Drew Begley, Cole Begley, Brooklyn Begley, three great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, and his faithful dogs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Keith Burchett, his sister Garnet Handshoe, and his brother Larry Burchett.
