Earl Dee Stephens, 66, of Jeffersonville, died Tuesday morning, July 21, 2015, at UK Medical Center. He was born December 14, 1948 in Morgan County to the late Judge and Maudie Howard Stephens.
Earl moved to Montgomery County 54 years ago from Morgan County and worked as a carpenter. Earl enjoyed playing cards, coon hunting, fishing, camping and UK basketball. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; one daughter, Angie Butcher of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, Byron Stephens (Doris) of Jeffersonville and Ray Stephens of Glasgow; two sisters, Helen Curtis (Jerry) and Betty Stephens, both of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren, Michelle Butcher, Michael Butcher, both of Owingsville and Danielle Butcher of Lexington.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Troy Stephens and his siblings, Harold Stephens and Margaret Short.
