Edward "Brent" Hughes

Edward "Brent" Hughes, 52, of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born in Mt. Sterling on August 11, 1969 and was the son of Edward Manuel Hughes and Gloria Jean Murphy.

Brent was a Montgomery County Native.  He enjoyed speech and drama clubs, and was a University of Kentucky basketball fan.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Brent is survived by his loving mother; Gloria Murphy (Paul "Butch") of Mt. Sterling; one brother; Alan Hughes (Jennifer) of Rome, Georgia; one nephew; Evan Hughes of Rome, Georgia;  numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Brent was preceded in death by his father; Edward Manuel Hughes; maternal grandparents; Floyd and Irene Lawson; paternal grandparents; Mann and Sitha Hughes.
