Edward "Eddie" Jay Cox

Edward "Eddie" Jay Cox, 46, of Lexington, passed away Thursday evening, September 12, 2013 at his residence. He was born June 2, 1967 in Newark, New Jersey to Johnny E. Cox and the late Patricia Ann Santoro Cox Nichols.
Eddie had been a resident of Fayette County for over twenty years, having moved from Danville. He was a 1985 graduate of Boyle County High School and went on to attended Berea College. While at Berea he earned his degree in interior design and continued working in his field as a sub contractor.
Eddie is survived by his father, Johnny E. Cox of Danville; two brothers, John J. Cox (Tammi) of Mount Sterling and Alfred W. Cox (Stacy) of Mooreland; two nieces, Courtney Cox of Richmond, Kentucky and Ashley Cox of Richmond, Virginia; one nephew, Tyler Cox of Bowling Green; numerous aunts, uncles and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request a donation be made to a charity of choice.
