Ellen Marie Watkins Lee

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellen Marie Lee, age 70, of Mt. Sterling. Born on April 4, 1954, in Mt. Sterling to the late Dewey and Lucille Watkins Johnson. Ellen passed away on September 27, 2024, at Windsor care Center.

Ellen was a beloved member of the community, known for her unwavering Christian faith in the Pentecostal denomination. With a generous and giving heart, she never knew a stranger and touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Ellen was a dear friend to so many and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of crossing paths with her.

She is survived by her children, Virginia Taul (James) and Chris Johnson (Becky); step- sons, Walter Lee (Melinda) and Bobby lee (Sandra); grandchildren, Seth Johnson, Skyler Johnson, Bobby lee Jr., Brandon Lee, Kristen Kirby (Corey) and Justin Lee; numerous great grandchildren; siblings, Ella Sparks, Johnny Johnson (Dora) and Bennie “Buck” Johnson (Sandy); sister-in-law, Betty Johnson.

 In addition to her parents, Ellen is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bobby Gene Lee; two grandchildren, Waylon Thompson and Rylee Thompson; brother, David Johnson; her beloved fur baby, Peaches.

 Service will be announced at a later date.

 Ellen's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew her. May she rest in eternal peace.
