Elsie Mae Rogers Carpenter, 81, of Jeffersonville, passed away Friday afternoon, December 17, 2021 at Clark Regional Medical Center, Winchester. She was born on July 5, 1940 in Mt. Sterling, to the late Charlie and Pearl Meadows Rogers.
Elsie was a native of Montgomery County, of the Christian faith and a member of Cornwell Christian Church. She retired from the housekeeping department of Mary Chiles Hospital. Elsie had a meek and gentle personality and enjoyed; crafts, ceramics, flower gardening, taking walks on her property, enjoying nature, yard sales and cats. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Elsie is survived by two sons; William Miles (Polly) of Louisville and Timothy Davis (Tina) of Hope; three daughters; Peggy Martin (Albert) of Mt. Sterling, Tammy Davis of Jeffersonville and Joy Bramel (Woody) of Jeffersonville; eleven grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Elsie was preceded in death by her husband; Bob Carpenter; one brother; Billy Rogers and sister; Ola Browning.
Funeral Service for Elsie Carpenter will be at 11:00AM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021. Visitation will be prior from 9:00AM - 11:00AM. Both will be held at Queen Street Christian Fellowship, 10 North Queen Street, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky. Committal will follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Minister Billy Rogers, Jr. will be officiating
Pallbearers: Casey Bramel, Richard Bramel, Adam Collins, Timothy Davis, Travis Davis, Matt Wyatt and Joe Miles.
