Elsie Marie Oakley Cassada, 77, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at her residence. She was born March 26, 1939 in Mt. Sterling to the late English Oakley and Ida Neal.
Elsie was a Montgomery County native. She preached the gospel for fifty-one years; past pastor at a church in Lexington for eight years and also co-pastured with her husband a church in Camargo. Elsie enjoyed traveling and camping throughout Florida. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; her beloved husband of nineteen years, Tom Cassada of Mt. Sterling; one son, Wayne Mullins (Joyce) of Georgetown; one daughter, Patsy Osbourne (David Taulbee) of Taylorsville; three grandchildren, Angel Mobley (Raymond) and Marcus Mullins (Kenetha), both of Mt. Sterling and Robin Cole (Darren) of Taylorsville; eight great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
