Emilee Grace Collins

Emilee Grace Collins,16, of Mt. Sterling, passed away tragically Friday, May 14, 2021.  She was born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on July 6, 2004.  Emilee was the daughter of James Gavin Collins and Denise Maloney Collins.

Emilee was a Montgomery County native, of the Christian faith and a student in her junior year at Montgomery County High School.  She had been a member of FFA,  the bowling team, orchestra and cheerleading.  Emilee was a perfectionist, she loved animals, particularly Minnie and Daisy, her dogs. She was selfless and aspired to be a nurse, she was always happy, always smiling and loving.  She especially enjoyed the close relationship she had with her nephew Jaxon.  She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Emilee is survived by her father; Jamie Collins of Lexington; her mother; Denise Maloney Collins of Mt. Sterling; two sisters; Katie Gilvin of Mt. Sterling and Madison Collins of Mt. Sterling; special nephew Jaxon Brown of Mt. Sterling; paternal grandmother; Barbara Collins; maternal grandparents; Jerry and Brenda Maloney; two uncles; Jeff Collins (Tami) of Jeffersonville and Chris Maloney (Janene) of Mt. Sterling; one aunt; Stephanie Collins of Mt. Sterling; special friends; Whitney Conkright, Nicole Brooks, Blayne Caudill, Makayla Joseph, Kaylee Cundiff, Saylor McCarty, Cameron Scruggs, Myers Caudill and Ethan McCoy; her dogs; Minnie and Daisy; numerous cousins, great aunts and uncles.

Emilee was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather; Paul Collins.

Funeral Service will be held Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 1:00PM, visitation will be prior from 10:00AM - 1:00PM, both will be held at Gateway Christian Church.  Pastor Bill Kilgore and Pastor Glenn Emery will be officiating.  Committal will follow at Machpelah Cemetery.
