Ernest "Ernie" Baker, 61, of Sharpsburg, died Wednesday evening, January 1, 2014 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. He was born July 27, 1952 in Mt. Sterling to the late John and Edna Chester Baker.
Ernie was a truck driver for Thompson Trucking. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and collecting guns. He was a good mechanic and will be remembered for his jokester personality.
Survivors include; two sons, James Evert Baker and John David Baker both of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Kristen Baker and Nancy Lynn Baker both of Mt. Sterling; two brothers, John Stanhope and Carlie Baker (Cindy) both of Winchester; two sisters, Bertha Stull (Harold) and Diane Walters both of Mt. Sterling; twelve grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Nancy Spencer and Lorraine Bellamy.
