Eva May (Shannon) Smith

Eva May Shannon Smith, 83, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Stanton Nursing Home.  She was born in Millersburg, Kentucky on November 19, 1936 to the late Silva and Mildred Clary Shannon.

Eva moved to Montgomery county in 2001 from Lexington.  She was a trust administrator for Bank One in Lexington and was of the Christian faith.  Eva enjoyed crossword puzzles, cooking, computer games and most of all, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She'll be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by three sons, Sterling Smith (Carey) of Forney, Texas, Edward Smith (Kathryn) of Seguin, Texas and Michael Smith (Angela) of Winchester; two daughters, Selena Willoughby of Mt. Sterling and Mariane Smith of Houston, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by two sisters, Jewell Shannon and Sylvia Crump.
