Evan Edwards Carter

Evan Edwards Carter, 6-month old infant son of Adam and Stacy Ballard Carter, died peacefully Friday, October 11, 2013 at his residence in the arms of his loving parents. He was born April 3, 2013 at Clark Regional Medical Center in Winchester.

During his brief days here on earth he touched many lives and was loved deeply by family and friends. Among his many adventures, his favorite activity was holding hands with his mommy and daddy, and giving and receiving lots of hugs and kisses from his family. Evan laughed and smiled throughout his beautiful and unforgettable 6 months, bringing joy and happiness to everyone he touched. He was loved by all who met him and will be greatly missed.

Survivors include; his parents, Adam and Stacy Carter of Frenchburg; grandparents, Sheila Thompson of Mt. Sterling, Ray Ballard (Robin) of Bath County and Victor and Toni Carter of Frenchburg; great grandparents, Stewart Patrick of Mt. Sterling, Clarence Dotson of Jenkins, and Ellen Carter of Frenchburg; uncles, Ray Ballard and Brennix Ballard both of Mt. Sterling; aunt Lydia Carter Randall (Tim) of Ashville, North Carolina; special cousins, Raeley Ballard of Means and Emily Dotson of Frenchburg; and many more aunts, uncles and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations may be made in Evan's memory to: Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O. Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202; or on the web at www.lls.org. A donation box will be set up at the service for those who wish to make their donation to the Luekemia & Lymphoma Society at that time.
