Flagg James Franci

Flagg James Francis, Sr., 54, of Mt. Sterling, died Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 30, 1958 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Helen Williams Francis and the late James Francis.

Flagg moved to Montgomery County thirty-five years ago from Cincinnati. He was previously employed with Bob's Food Service. Flagg's interests and hobbies were; old classic cars, guns, Cincinnati Bengals football and Cincinnati Reds baseball.

Survivors include; his beloved wife of thirty-six years, Deborah Hatton Francis of Mt. Sterling; two sons, Flagg Francis, Jr. (Jennifer) of Mt. Sterling, and Jason Francis (Erica) of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Candace Francis (Tommy Taylor) of Mt. Sterling and Amy Martin Taulbee (Jason) of Mt. Sterling; his mother, Helen Williams Francis of Chillicothe, Ohio; one brother, Jesse Francis (Carol) of Cincinnati; three sisters, Star Dugger (Ricky) of Cincinnati, Sheba Mesa of Cincinnati, and Abigail Patches (Dale) of Chillicothe; and seven grandchildren.

In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother, Nathaniel Francis.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that contributions be made to the Flagg Francis, Sr. Funeral Fund, P.O. Box 1334, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.

Funeral will be Friday, October 19, 2012 at 1:00PM at Jeffersonville Assembly of God. Visitation will also be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 11:00AM to 1:00PM at Jeffersonville Assembly of God with Pastor Robbie Conn officiating. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Tommy Taylor, David McGlothin, Jason Fair, Gary Hatton, Johnny Taylor, John Sturgill, and Chad Ferguson.

Honorary Pallbearers: Paul Hatton and Rodney Parker.
