Floyd Allen "Buddy" Cruse II, 61, of Mt. Sterling passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at St. Joseph Hospital. He was born on May 5, 1958 to Imogene Holley Bashford and the late Floyd Allen Cruse.
Buddy attended Liberty Bible Church of God in Winchester. He was a graduate of the Mt. Sterling High School's final class of 1976. Upon receiving a Bachelor's Degree from Eastern Kentucky University he relocated to Florida and embarked upon a career in commercial real estate development and leasing. Buddy moved back to the Mt. Sterling area to be near his family and enjoyed hunting, fishing and other sporting events. His friends and family will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his sons, Jesse Cruse of Mt. Sterling and Jake Cruse of Jacksonville, Florida; mother, Imogene Holley Bashford (Bill) of Winchester; sister, Bemedji Asher (Ben) of Winchester and nephew Chase Asher of Lexington. He is also survived by numerous cousins and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his father Floyd Allen Cruse.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, December 30, 2019 at 11:00AM. Visitation will take place on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 5:00PM-8:00PM. Both will be held at the Mt. Sterling First Church of God. Committal to follow at Machpelah Cemetery. Pastor Lee Cruse and Pastor Lonnie Storms will be officiating the service.
Pallbearers: Phil Holley, Skip Holley, Barry Holley, Chase Asher, Chris Maloney and Jerry Maloney.
Honorary Pallbearers: Tommy Gabbard, Tom Ball, Al Blevins, Ed Razor, Billy Winburn, Annette Goodknight, Holly Payne and Dan Manley.
