Franklin "Hank" Leon Gibbs, 83, of Mt. Sterling, died Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Windsor Care Center. He was born March 24, 1933 to the late Hazel Stamper and Virgil Gibbs.
Hank was a Montgomery County native, member of the Antioch Christian Church, a retired fire fighter and he also owned and operated a fire extinguisher service company, many may remember the front of his service truck saying "Here Comes Hank". He enjoyed Reds baseball, UK basketball, vegetable gardening and fishing He will be dearly missed by his family, church family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Leon Gibbs of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Stanley Gibbs (Betty) of Jeffersonville and one sister, Maxine Ricketts of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife in 2005, Pauline Sias Gibbs; two brothers, Bill Sponcil and Bud Sponcil; two sisters, Caroline Donathan and Janice Mullins.
