Fred Eugene Constable

Freddy Eugene Constable, age 66, Mt. Sterling, died peacefully at home on Friday, February 8, 2019, after a long illness.

Fred was born October 15, 1952, in Clarksburg, WV, where he played football, attended vocational classes, and graduated from Washington Irving High School. He graduated from United Electronics Institute in South Charleston, WV. Upon moving to Kentucky, Fred worked in communications at the Bluegrass Army Depot and at Lutes Electric Motor Service in Winchester. A skilled technician, he opened and operated his electric motor service in Mt. Sterling as well as helping many in the community with other repair needs. He was always ready to spend time in outdoor pursuits or lend a hand, ear, or heart to someone in need.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Toni Ringel Constable, Mt. Sterling; son John Constable, Mt. Sterling/Nashville; daughter Katherine (Joel) Kleyer, Louisville; sister-in-law Regina Constable, Clarksburg, WV; uncle Bobbie C. (Joy) Keith, Bridgeport, WV; cousin Rhonda K. (James) Lee, Summerville, NC; two brothers-in-law Robert A. (Beth) Ringel, Spartanburg, SC and R. J. (Deanna) Stanz, Lakeland, FL; and six nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by mother Eudora Helen Taft Constable, father Billy Eugene Constable, brother Jeffrey Constable, uncle Virgil Constable, uncle William H. Taft, aunt Delores “Rena” Taft Keith, maternal grandmother Ressie Langford Taft, maternal grandfather J. B. Taft, paternal grandmother Clarice Husk Constable, and paternal grandfather Cecil Constable.

Pallbearers are Billy “Huey” Evans, Doug Mansfield, Larry “Curly” Montgomery, Paul Santfant, Tim Terry, and Paul D. Williams.

Honorary pallbearers are Dwayne Butler, Steve Centers, Sam Fugate, Alvin Leach, and Jim Pierce.

Memorial service will be  Monday, February 18 at 12:00PM.  Visitation will be prior from 10:00AM-12:00PM, at Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church.  Pastor Eric Patterson will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers please make donations to the National Wild Turkey Federation, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, American Heart Association, American Lung Association, or Mt. Sterling First United Methodist Church.
