Freda Sexton Lowe, 88, of Winchester, passed away Saturday morning, December 28, 2013 at Clark Regional Medical Center. She was born June 26, 1925 in Carter County to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Brainard Sexton.
Freda was a former resident of Montgomery County and a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Many will remember her from the "Corner Drug Store" in Winchester where she worked as a clerk until her retirement. Freda was affectionately known as everybody's "Nana" and will always be remembered for her kind, giving heart. She enjoyed cooking for her family and watching UK basketball. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; three sons, Michael Lowe (Elaine) of Mt. Sterling, C.C. Lowe of Winchester and Ricky Lowe of Mt. Sterling; four grandchildren, Michael Shane Lowe of Mt. Sterling, Jon Lowe (Nicole) of O'Fallon, Missouri, Nathan Lowe (Michelle) of Lexington, and Ashleigh Lowe Ross of Winchester; seven great grandchildren, Haley Lowe of Owingsville, Savannah Lowe and Daphne Lowe of St. Louis, Missouri, Gibson Lowe and Nolan Lowe of Lexington, Colten Douglas Ross and Alivia Ross of Winchester.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Marion Lowe; a son, Gary Lowe; a brother, Charles Sexton; and a sister, Kathleen O'Neal.
