Gaynell "Genie" Bashaw, 61, of Mt. Sterling, died Sunday evening, July 1, 2012 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. She was born January 2, 1951 in Wolfe County to the late "Preacher" and Emma Hall.
Genie, a resident of Mt. Sterling, previously of Bourbon County was employed by Sterling Manufacturing and Reworks. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and spending time with her family. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; her husband of 45 years, Terry Bashaw, Sr.; three sons, Wayne Bashaw (Rhonda) of Indiana, Shannon Bashaw, and Clayton Bashaw (Angel) of Mt. Sterling; one brother, Roy Hall (Birdie) of Indiana; seven sisters, Alta Sexton of Paris, Fern Becraft (Burl) of Mt. Sterling, Geraldine Ratliff (Charles) of West Liberty, Elsie Tubbs of Mt. Sterling, Lorine Hall of Indiana, Molly Humphries (Dean) of Mt. Sterling, and Louverne Mitchell of Paris; six grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Genie was preceded in death by her brother Henry Hall.
Funeral will be Thursday, July 5, 2012 at 12:00PM at Queen Street Christian Fellowship. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5, 2012 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at Queen Street Christian Fellowship, Bro. Carlie Bellamy officiating.
