Gerald "Jay" Thomas Clukey, Jr., of Stanton, died Friday, February 21, 2020 at Clark Regional Hospital in Winchester. He was born on January 16, 1965 in Skowhegan, Maine to the late Gerald Thomas Clukey, Sr. and Juanita Ilene Wilson.
Jay moved back to the area eight years ago, was of the Christian faith and loved his family greatly. He liked to travel and over the years worked in several locations including Arkansas and the Texas Oil Fields. Jay enjoyed fishing, being outdoors camping and time spent with family, especially his grandchildren whom he was very proud of. His friends and family will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife Shirley Brown Clukey of Jeffersonville; one son, Justin Clukey (Bianca) of Powell County; two daughters, Cheyenne Clukey Crawford (Alex) of Powell County and Brooklynn "Boo" Clukey of Jeffersonville; three grandchildren, Asher Clukey and Braxton Dunn, both of Powell County and Kaden Clukey of Owingsville; one step grandson, Waylon Crawford of Powell County; two brothers, Pete Clukey of Abbeville, Louisianna and Joe Clukey (Beverly) of Menifee County; three sisters, Shirley Cain of Belleview, Phyllis "Sis" Caywood (David) of Mt. Sterling and Cecelia "Kitten" Hall (Sam) of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to Jay's parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Alice "Faye" Parker.
