Hazel Arretta Parks West, 87, of Mt. Sterling, died Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Windsor Care Center. She was born March 23, 1930 in Bath County to the late Edgar Sr. and Flossie Goodpaster Parks.
Hazel was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, a member of the First Church of God, was one of the first female banking officers in Montgomery County for Traders National Bank and was on numerous boards in Montgomery County. She'll be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Larry West (Katie) of Mt. Sterling; one daughter, Marsha Walker (Arthur Jr.) of Mt. Sterling; two sisters, Betty Lee of Mt. Sterling and Janet Scott (Johnny) of Indiana; six grandchildren, Art Walker III (Lisa) of Mt. Sterling, Amy Duzyk (Darren), Brandy Quinn (Ed), Bryce Walker (Lee Lamonica), all of Lexington, Dylan Wroblewski of Austin, Texas and Colin Eliot (Dawt) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, L.C. West and her brother, Edgar Parks, Jr.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to the Hope Hill Youth Services, 700 Hope Hill Road, Hope, Kentucky 40334.
Graveside service will be Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at 12:00PM at Machpelah Cemetery's Chapel.
Pallbearers: Art Walker III, Bryce Walker, Ed Quinn, Darren Duzyk, Conner Duzyk, Art Walker IV, Cooper Duzyk and Red Lee.
