Helen Trusty Parks

Helen Trusty Parks, 77, of Frenchburg, died Saturday, November 1, 2014 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. She was born December 18, 1936 in Wolfe County to the late Irvine Trusty and Savannah Back Sallee.

Helen lived in Jeffersonville approximately thirty years and then moved to Frenchburg eleven years ago. Her previous employment was at Hope Hill Children's Home as cook. Helen enjoyed her time in the garden, her canning and cooking was a talent passed down to her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed quilting, telling story's and valued her church life where she loved to sing, pray and be a listening ear and give words of wisdom to those in need. Helen loved her family, doted on her grandbabies and great grandbabies and will be dearly missed by many.

Survivors include; five sons, Ronald Parks (Brenda) of Winchester, George Parks (Nancy) of Mt. Sterling, Fred Parks (Dorothy) of Mt. Sterling, James Parks (Eva) of Frenchburg and Maynard Parks (Marcinda) of Tennessee; four daughters, Nancy Mayes (Bill) of Jeffersonville, Betty Myers (Jess) of Owingsville, Anita Notestine (Less) of New Carlisle, Ohio and Tonya Fugate of Frenchburg; two sisters, Minnie Badenhope of Holgate, Ohio and Lillie Mae Chamberlin of Sevierville, Tennessee; twenty-four grandchildren and thirty-nine great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clayton Parks; one daughter, Jeanne Fuller; one brother, Rollie Trusty and six sisters, Ida Mullins, Bessie Caudill, Geneva Hodge, Ruth Faye Whitt, Dorothy Wilson and Anna Trusty.

Pallbearers: Adam Myers, Joseph Myers, Matthew Myers, Lucas Myers, Joe Mullins, Brandon Parks, Brian Parks, Travis Parks and Leslie Notestine.

Monday, November 3, 2014 from 5:00PM to 7:00PM
New Cut Pentecostal Holiness Church

Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 1:00PM
