Helen "Jeannie" Jean Campbell

Helen Jean "Jeannie" Campbell, 72, widow of Warren Campbell, Jr., died Thursday morning, July 25, 2013 at Emeritus Senior Living in Edgewood.

Jeannie was born August 9, 1940 in Sharpsburg to the late Allen and Anna Stone Bromagen. After graduating Sharpsburg High School she married Warren Campbell, Jr. on August 31, 1958. She lived most of her life in Montgomery County where she and Warren raised their two children, Martha and Scott. Jeannie worked as a bookkeeper for the County Clerk's Office until her retirement in 1995. She was a member of the First Christian Church; she enjoyed gardening, reading, and playing cards.

Survivors include; one son, Scott Campbell (Mary Beth) of Villa Hills; one daughter, Martha Griffin (Roger) of Dawsonville, Georgia; two brothers, Glenn Bromagen (Sandi) of Versailles and Bill Bromagen (Patti) of Lexington; four grandchildren, Courtney Meade of Lexington, Josh Dicken (Tyler) of Lexington, Will Campbell and Whitney Campbell both of Villa Hills; three great grandchildren, Grant Dicken, Reece Thomson and Griffin Dicken all of Lexington; three sisters-in-law, Mary Bromagen of Lexington, Patty Bromagen of Mt. Sterling and Nancy Bromagen of Lexington.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Warren Conway Campbell, Jr.; three brothers, Henry Bromagen, Howard Bromagen and Marion Bromagen; and a sister, Ann Bromagen.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: First Christian Church, 222 West Main Street, Mt. Sterling, KY 40353.
