Henry Dee Thompson, 70, widower of Loretta Miles Thompson, of Mount Sterling, Kentucky, died September 30, 2012. He was born January 22, 1942 in Bath County to the late Ed and Anna Spence Thompson.
Henry was an Army Veteran, and was retired from A.O. Smith. He enjoyed playing bingo, watching westerns, playing cards, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Jeffery Thompson (Yvonna) of Mt. Sterling, and Mark Thompson (Teresa) of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Anita McClain (Gerald) of Bath County, and Tina Thompson of Mt. Sterling: two sisters, Joyce Whitt of Bath County and Geraldine "Jerri" Guinto (Jo) of Florida; seven grandchildren, Benjamin Thompson, Megan Dennis, Rebecca Razor, Amy Dennis, Katie Thompson, Hannah Thompson, and Jordan Thompson; and five great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Ed Thompson, Jr., Clell Thompson, Roger Thompson, and Walter Thompson; and two sisters, Mabel "Polly" Miles, and Frances Laux.
Funeral will be Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at 11:00AM at Howards Mill Baptist Church. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 2, 2012 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Howards Mill Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Machpelah Cemetery. Brother Hoss Prater will be officiating.
Pallbearers: Randy Miles, Brian Miles, Ben Thompson, Corey Razor, Stewart Treadway, and Kenny Patrick.
Honorary Pallbearers: Freeland Watson, Danny Armitage, Donnie Shultz, and Mitchell Thompson.
