Henryetta Toy Thomas, 90, of Sharpsburg, died Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling. She was born May 6, 1924 to the late Clell Toy, Sr. and Macie Orme Toy.
Henryetta was a lifelong resident of Bath County; she was born at the Berry Hill Farm in Sharpsburg and graduated from Sharpsburg High School. She worked as a cashier for Thompson's IGA in Mt. Sterling, a bus monitor for Bath County Schools, a cook at Bethel School and most recently worked at Two Sisters Pumpkin Patch in Mt. Sterling where she was known as the "3rd Sister". She was a member of the Volunteer Guild at St. Joseph Mt. Sterling and Grace Gospel Church in Sharpsburg. She enjoyed reading, working and spending time with her family. She was a true "people person" and loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Survivors include; her granddaughter, Jennifer Thomas Hager (Steve) of Jeffersonville; four great grandchildren, Emilee and Lillie Hager of Jeffersonville, and Peyton and Clayton Thomas of Winchester; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Mark Thomas; son, Larry Michael Thomas; grandson, Geoffrey Michael Thomas; five brothers, Leroy Toy, Clayton "Splo" Toy, Charles "Chick" Toy, Clell Toy, Jr. and Bill Toy; one sister, Alma Hayes.
Pallbearers: Chuck Toy, Randy Toy, Wayne Toy, Roger Toy, Tony Toy, Stacy Overhouser, Keith Crouch, and Jeff Smith.
