Hettie Marie Ulery Patrick, 86, of Mt. Sterling, died Monday, February 2, 2015 at Clark Regional Medical Center. She was born April 12, 1928 in Bath County to the late Roy C. and Lona Crase Ulery.
Marie lived in Greenup for 30 years; she then moved to South Carolina before returning back to Kentucky and settling in Montgomery County in the fall of 1983. She was a homemaker, a member of Reid Village Baptist Church and was active in the Montgomery County Homemakers. She enjoyed reading, flower gardening, cooking and Kentucky Wildcats Basketball.
Survivors include; two sons, Jim Patrick (Rita) of Kenova, West Virginia and Dan Patrick (Lisa) of Mt. Sterling; two daughters, Patti Lauver (John) of Columbia, South Carolina and Judie Patrick Rech of Mt. Sterling; seven grandchildren, Sarah Smith (Dana) of Nicholasville, Charles Patrick (Sonya) of Ceredo, West Virginia, Reed Lauver of Charleston, South Carolina, Amy Lauver of Columbia, South Carolina, Tommy Rech, Steven Rech and Danielle Patrick all of Mt. Sterling; seven great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews; her niece and guardian angel, Nancy Ulery of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 55 years, Lawson Patrick; two brothers, Carl Ulery and Fred Cassidy; one sister, Thelma Redden.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First United Methodist Church; 846 Grassy Lick Road, Mt. Sterling, Kentucky 40353.
