Hilda Jean (Willis) Donithan

Hilda Jean Willis Donithan, 69, of Pikeville died on Monday, July 22, 2019, at Pikeville Medical Center.  She was born on November 22, 1949 in Clintwood, Virginia to the late Shelton and Luria Fleming Willis.

Hilda was a native of Mt. Sterling and member of Howards Mill Baptist Church.  She was a bookkeeper and retired from Gateway Gas & Oil Inc.  She was a very hard worker and expert candy maker, especially cream candy.  Hilda was seldom idle and she enjoyed going to the beach in Florida during the cold winter months.  She loved spending time with her family and they will miss her dearly.

She is survived by one son, Greg Donithan (Angie) of Pikeville; two grandchildren, Blake Donithan and Dillon Donithan both of Pikeville; three brothers, Larry Rose of Mt. Sterling, Jerry Willis (Sharon) of Lake Wales, FL and Danny Willis ( Kathy) of Frankfort; one sister, Judy Smith (Rick) of St. Augustine FL and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Hilda was preceded in death by her brother David Willis and her sister Sue Rose.

Funeral will be Friday, July 26, 2019 at 7:00PM. Visitation will be prior from 5:00PM-7:00PM.  Both will be held at Queen Street Christian Fellowship with Brother Jason Johnson officiating.
