Homer Cecil McCoy, Sr., 94, of Hazard, died Sunday evening, August 27, 2017 at the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center in Hazard. He was born November 24, 1922 in Mt. Sterling to the late Troy and Nanny Sons McCoy.
Homer was a Montgomery County native, a United States WWII Navy veteran and a retired self employed car salesman. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include; one son, Greg McCoy (Teresa) of Winchester; four grandchildren, Laura McCoy (Thomas Curreri) of Winchester, Tony McCoy (Ashley) of Eustis, Florida, Brian McCoy (Lana) and Ryan McCoy (Becky), both of Mt. Sterling; seven great grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Sue McCoy of Mt. Sterling.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife Virgileen Chandler McCoy and his son, Homer McCoy, Jr.
